Alouette Cheese Giveaway!

I’ve got a great giveaway for you all. The nice people from Alouette cheese contacted me to ask if I was interested in sampling some of their products, including their new Sweet & Spicy Pepper Medley flavor. I was so excited about this offer — I love cheese! I received coupons in the mail for free products, including Baby Brie, Spreadable Cheese, and Cheese Crumbles.

I have 4 sets of coupons to giveaway. Each winner will receive one of each of the three product coupons!! To enter, just leave a comment on this post telling me a story about your favorite food. The Contest ends Sunday December 6 at midnight eastern time.

A fellow cheese-loving blogger, Kelly from the Pink Apron gave me a Beautiful Blogger Award, which is one of the nicest things anyone has done for me lately. Receiving the award means I’m supposed to share seven things about myself. Now, I’m pretty tired and my brain tends to be fried all the time, so I can’t guarantee these will be new or interesting, but here goes:

  1. I have an addictive personality. My husband will tell you this is an understatement. It is most apparent in my TV watching – I will watch hours, literally days worth of Law & Order at a time.
  2. I’m very sensitive to drugs – especially caffeine. The people at Starbucks accidentally thought I said “double-shot” once and I was so jazzed up I was almost physically ill in the car. 2 weeks ago I drank 20oz of coffee and felt high for 2 full days.
  3. I’m desperate to move. Interesting, considering last year I claimed I belong in the midwest. Oh well, I’m sure it won’t be the last time I speak too soon. Unfortunately no one seems to want to buy our house.
  4. It really annoys me when Brent is sick…. bodes well for my future in nursing doesn’t it?
  5. When I get homesick, I sometimes make tuna casserole (the old-school kind with cream of whatever soup) or listen to Carole King’s Tapestry album, both things that remind me of my mom. I don’t even like tuna casserole that much.
  6. I’m a creature of routine. Rarely does a Thursday night pass without me watching Grey’s anatomy with a glass of red wine in hand. The routine and familiarity probably relax me more than the actual wine.
  7. I have to get up at 5am every Tuesday. Not a morning person. šŸ˜¦

Unfortunately, due to my preoccupation with school, I’m not so up on my blog-reading, so I’ll just pass the award on to everyone rather than naming specific bloggers.

GOOD LUCK WITH THE CONTEST!!!

  1. Well, Victoria, since you say you live in the Midwest, you probably know about Skyline Chili, which I grew up loving. When I was first married (long time ago), I found a recipe for Cincinnati chili, which was a generic name for Skyline. It smelled heavenly while it simmered, and I knew my husband would love it. However, when he tasted it, he said, “WHAT did you put in this?” I proudly confessed that the secret ingredient was cinnamon. He asked me never to make cinnamon chili again (but I did). šŸ™‚

  2. I’m a huge sushi fan… i started out wussy, eating only cooked stuff, and then one year, I went to visit my aunt in L.A. She forced me to try all sorts of raw fish, and now I can’t get enough of the stuff!

  4. I am from the Midwest too! Cheese is always a favorite around here šŸ™‚
I have lots of recipes I try out, but I will give you whats on the menu today.
I am using the leftover ham from Thanksgiving and making homemade scalloped potatoes. It just snowed, and this dish will be so warm ! Think some nice dinner rolls and a salad are the ticket for the day.

  5. A cheese giveaway! I can’t imagine a better giveaway!

My favorite food is lasagna (which has CHEESE, of course). We make one every year for Christmas – The traditional Christmas lasagna. Ha!

  6. Just ONE favorite food? LOL, come on. It depends on what I am craving. One favorite that never gets old though is a really good burger. It’s hard to get a good one but you nearly always do at Culver’s or Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It’s wonderful sinking your teeth into a big, juicy burger full of flavor.

And I must add, I do love Alouette!

  7. My favorite food is PIZZA! I love it any time of day, even cold for breakfast. I only like it plain or with veggies on it. Meat makes me feel queasy just thinking about it. Meat is fine by itself, but not on my pizza! Luckily, I’m married to someone with the same taste in pizza, but he won’t eat it for breakfast. More for me! I looooove cheese and have some Alouette in my fridge right now.

I think my all time favorite food is chocolate! I enjoy most chocolate…the darker and richer the better. I have a close friend who was visiting with us over the Thanksgiving holiday and it is a custom that she bring us some Godiva or at least another box of chocolates that has the description of each of the chocolates with a picture of each one. This time we had to stop at a Costco and got some of their delicious Belgium chocolates. My friend bought them because as she said “it comes with manual”. I got a real kick out of considering that guide of each of the chocolates as a manual. They actually were delicious.

I also love cheese and would love some Alouette.

Cheese is such a great giveaway :o) (or at least coupons for it!) Mac n cheese is one of my favorite foods (my husband and I order it any time we go to a new restaurant and see it on the menu – just to see how the restaurant’s stacks up to all other places we’ve had it). Yum!

  11. hmm, it has to be oatmeal. i used to be the one pointing fingers making fun of people who eat that nasty brown stuff in a bowl. as a result of trying to eat more healthy food and reading a lot of food blogs, i encouraged myself to try cooking oatmeal at home. from then on, i was a converter and was mesmorized about the many different combos i can come up every morning to put in my oatmeal. still try to eat at least a bowl or two every week , if time permits. these days, on my days off, my reward to myself is to make wholesome bowl of homemade oats drizzled with agave nectar and enjoying a nice homemade iced starbucks coffee watching sunday morning football šŸ˜‰
